IBN - Consulting: Exchange Control

Exchange Control

IBN Consulting’s experience in the field of foreign investment in South Africa has shown that far-sighted investment planning in cooperation with the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) is essential in order to avoid problems, which can arise in relation to future capital transfers. These issues are rooted in the legal restrictions still applicable to foreign exchange transactions.

It is therefore advisable to contact us well in advance of the intended arrival of funds in South Africa. IBN Consulting will advise the investor on the most suitable timeframe for the import of funds.
In addition to that, our specialist staff in this field will procure all the required approvals and registrations with the Reserve Bank (SARB) before the investment to ensure a smooth potential future repatriation of the invested capital, dividends or share of profits as well as of invoiced amounts for imported goods or services.
