Government Grants

South Africa offers a number of interesting government grants to investors. One of the most important programs, which has become increasingly important for the state and the receiver, is the successor to the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Program (SMEDP): the new Enterprise Investment Program (EIP).

This program supports investors in the tourism- and production industries by funding up to 30% of the total investment.

IBN can consult you on the appropriate application. Our team in co-operation with our specialised network partners prepare the application and follow up on it at the Department of Trade and Industry. IBN scrutinises the government grant contract and ensures that the payment of the grant is finalised and received in time.

Please also consider that there are many other South African government grants, that assist with the import of machinery (_Foreign Investment Grant_, FIG), parttaking in exhibitions or education.
