Interest Rate remains unchanged!

The South African Reserve Bank left its repo rate unchanged at 5.5% on Thursday as expected, with concerns about a slowing economy off-setting the pressures from inflation, which is likely to stay outside its target band for longer than previously expected.

Finally: ANC youth leader apologises! - 27th Nov 2008

The ANC Youth League offered an "unequivocal apology" over controversial "kill for Zuma" comments made by its militant leader Julius Malema.

Launching an unprecedented public bid to repair the damage that Malema, ANC president Jacob Zuma's most vocal praise-singer, is widely accused of inflicting to the ruling party, the Youth League said it was sorry for possibly unwittingly inciting violence and being seen by some to have betrayed the spirit of the constitution.
