Vote counting nearly finished - 25th Apr 2009

Beside a few uncounted districts in the Western Cape all votes have been tallied and the ANC has lost its grip of the two third majority. It looks very probable that the Western Cape will be governed by a coalition consisting out of DA, ID and COPE, while all other provinces will be ruled by the ANC. The current standings are:

ANC: 66.0 %
DA: 16.5 %
COPE: 7.4 %
IFP: 4.5 %
ID: 0.9 %
UDM: 0.8 %
FF+: 0.8 %
ACDP: 0.8 %

Final results are expected by this afternoon.
