BRICS Development Bank gets Green Light

In a first step to set up a development bank as counterweight to the US/EU-led World Bank and the IMF, the Finance Ministers of the BRICS member countries have met up this weekend on sidelines of the annual Spring Meeting of the World Bank and the IMF to discuss this important step.

Andreas KrenselAndreas Krensel joined IBN Consulting in July 2002. His career began with an apprenticeship at Deutsche Bank, where he mainly focused on asset and portfolio management. This was followed by his law studies in Trier (Germany) as well as in Antwerp (Belgium). In April 2002 he qualified as an attorney in Dortmund (Germany). During his career he worked for KPMG Consulting AG, KPMG Deutsche Treuhand AG and Aderhold von Dalwick Knüppel Attorneys in Germany as well as for the US - State of New Jersey and Deneys Reitz Attorneys in Cape Town. He obtained his Master of Laws degree at the University of Cape Town (UCT) in 2004, specializing in Electronic as well as International Trade Law. Andreas gained extensive experience in the field of immigration and has successfully managed consulting projects for a broad variety of corporate clients.

In January 2005, Andreas Krensel joined the Board of Directors at IBN. He covers the fields of Industrial Consulting, Contract and Labour Law as well as Black Economic Empowerment (BEE). Within IBN he is responsible for Financial Management as well as Human Resources. Andreas Krensel is co-author of the publication “Investing in South Africa – Opportunities and Risks in the 21st Century”. In addition he has published articles with legal and commercial focus in local newspapers and international magazines. In 2006 and 2008 he was nominated for the national Duathlon team and represented South Africa at the Duathlon World Cup in Italy.
