For longer business stays, foreign nationals might consider a Z visa, which is a work visa, but this would generally require a job offer and sponsorship from a Chinese company.

A Chinese Business (M) Visa is typically valid for three months from the issue date and allows for stays of 30 to 90 days, depending on the specifics of the visa. While in China, you may apply for an extension of your M Visa, but the approval is at the discretion of the Chinese authorities. As always, it is best to verify current policies with the Chinese embassy or consulate in your home country.
