Mozambique Short-Term Work Permit

Mozambique has skilled labour shortages in the mining, oil, and gas sectors. As a result, they favour foreign nationals with expertise in these areas. Successful applicants are granted a 180-day work permit.

This differs from applications in all other sectors of Mozambique’s economy, which are granted 90-day work permits.

If you enter Mozambique on a single-entry 30-day visa, you can renew the permit twice, for 30 days each. This brings you up to the full 90 days. Renewals are granted at the discretion of the ministry.

Both types of work permits are valid for one calendar year.

Contact IBN Immigration Solutions if you aren’t sure which type of Mozambican short-term work permit applies to your situation. We’ll assign you an expert in all types of Mozambican work permits to guide you through the application process from start to finish.

Note: You can’t use the short-term work permit as a step to emigrate to Mozambique.
