The documents required for a Critical Skills Visa application are essential to verify the applicant’s identity, qualifications, and compliance with immigration laws. It is also available through the VFS Website, where most applications are made.
A valid passport with sufficient blank pages is required for entry and visa endorsement.

A Police Clearance Certificate ensures the applicant’s criminal record status, while a Medical Certificate confirms the applicant’s health condition.
A Previous South African Visa and bank statements show prior compliance with visa requirements and financial stability.
A Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate is mandatory if the applicant has been in an affected area.
Proof of marital status and legal residence is required to establish personal background.
A detailed Curriculum Vitae, reference letters, and the SAQA consent form support the applicant’s professional and educational background.
The SAQA Certificate evaluates foreign qualifications against South African standards.
Proof of critical skills, professional body membership, and a job offer validate the applicant’s eligibility for the visa.
Documents from the employer include an undertaking letter, a certified ID/passport of the signatory, and a certificate of incorporation to confirm the legitimacy of the job offer.
Lastly, proof of accommodation confirms the applicant’s housing arrangements.
