Latest ZEP Updates - Directive 10 of 2021

Watch this video featuring our CEO, Andreas Krensel, as he talks about the big employment and service-related questions surrounding the Immigration Directive 10 0f 2021.

While the Directive explained the 12-month grace period and free travel in and out of South Africa for ZEP holders, it did not clearly state whether Zimbabweans employed within South Africa could continue work-related activities.

The most recent update referenced in the video states that ZEP holders may still be employed within South Africa between the 1st of January 2022 until the 31st of December 2022. Employers should therefore continue to practise fair employment provisions, as laid out in the Labour Relations Act.

Again, processing times for relevant visa applications vary and can be considerable. We therefore strongly encourage ZEP holders residing in South Africa to apply for valid visas as soon as possible.
