Applying for a Mauritius Investment Permit
You can invest in Mauritius and apply for an Occupation Permit (OP), provided you set up a new business or invest in an existing business. You must invest a minimum of US$50 000 in your company to qualify for this Mauritius permit.
An alternative way to qualify for this Mauritius permit is to invest in a start-up deemed innovative by the Economic Development Board of Mauritius or registered with an incubator accredited by the Research and Innovation Council. This type of investment has no cash requirement and is ideal for people who like to be on the cutting edge but don’t have the fortune investing in a start-up usually requires.
