Applying for a Mozambique Business Visa
The Mozambique Business Visa is intended for foreign nationals travelling to Mozambique for short-term business purposes. It allows entry for activities such as attending meetings, conferences, seminars, business prospecting, or receiving training. This visa does not authorise hands-on work or employment; any activity considered productive work requires a Work Permit and the corresponding residence authorisation.
Eligibility
Applicants must demonstrate that their purpose of travel is business-related but non-remunerative. The visa is suitable for business executives, managers, consultants, and company representatives. It is not appropriate for foreign nationals who will deliver services, perform repairs, or take part in projects on the ground, as these activities fall under work permit regulations.
Common Use Cases
- Attending business meetings with Mozambican partners or subsidiaries.
- Participating in conferences, seminars, or trade events.
- Exploring investment or commercial opportunities in Mozambique.
- Receiving non-remunerated training or orientation provided by a Mozambican entity.
Duration of Stay
The Mozambique Business Visa is generally issued for 90 days and can be valid for either single or multiple entries. However, each individual stay under the visa may not exceed 30 consecutive days. A change from a Business Visa to a Work Permit is not possible from within Mozambique; applicants must return to their country of residence to initiate a work visa application if required.
