Applying for an Angola Privileged Visa and Permanent Residence
The Angola Privileged Visa is the country’s investor-based immigration category and is intended for foreign nationals implementing qualifying investments in Angola. The visa is linked to investments approved under Angola’s private investment framework and is designed to support projects considered beneficial to the Angolan economy.
The visa is referred to as a Privileged Visa because the investment project itself receives favourable treatment from the Angolan authorities. The visa category is administered with the involvement of the National Private Investment Agency (ANIP), which assesses the investment and business proposal before a visa recommendation is issued.
Angola also allows foreign nationals to pursue Permanent Residence, although the immigration framework does not establish a detailed or highly structured permanent residence system. Applications are generally assessed on merit, financial self-sufficiency, and the applicant’s ability to contribute economically while remaining lawfully resident in Angola.
