Nobody wants to get a Visa Rejection, and while IBN Immigration Solutions has been submitting applications for decades, rejections have always been an extreme rarity.
Increase in Rejections
Worryingly, at the time of this article, November 2022, there has been a significant increase in rejections of visas by the Department of Home Affairs. This could in part be due to the DHA trying to clear their backlog of submissions, but these rejections and their reasonings have been vague, non-applicable, or downright unlawful.
Your Options
You can reapply, and submit the exact same application a week later, or make small amendments, and hope that this time, the application will be successful. If there were mistakes in the application, such as an application for the incorrect visa type, these amendments could lead to your application being accepted.
However, if the reasoning was non-sensical, your next option is to appeal the rejection. There are two options for appeals, both of which we discuss in a more extensive video and article HERE.
Time Frame of Appeal
When appealing, it is also worth noting that the process can be as long as 4 to 5 months, and only after this process of appeal do we recommend taking legal action if you see fit.
Please note that a rejection does not mean that your current visa is now invalid.
Conclusion
If you are in any need of practical assistance on the matter, IBN Immigration Solutions is ready to assist in any way possible: redrafting your application, helping write your appeal, or any other practical advice to do with your visa struggles.
