Kristin joined the IBN team in 2018 as the Talent Development Manager, where she dedicated her efforts to recruiting, training, and retaining top talent while developing strategic initiatives to enhance workforce skills across the organization.
Over the years, she transitioned into a more sales-focused role, successfully building and leading a motivated, high-performing Sales team.
In February 2025, Kristin was appointed Director of the South African entity, where she now oversees the overall well-being and performance of the South African team.
Originally from a small village in Germany, Kristin embarked on a global travel adventure after completing high school. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in the Netherlands and relocated to South Africa in 2010.
Prior to joining IBN, Kristin gained extensive experience in the tourism industry. She played a pivotal role in scaling a global volunteering organization’s office from 5 to over 60 employees, managing diverse responsibilities including HR, finance, strategy, and general office operations.
In her personal time, Kristin enjoys outdoor activities with her family and maintains an active lifestyle, often starting her day at 5:30 AM with swimming, running, or cycling. Her love for travel continues to inspire her to explore new destinations whenever the opportunity arises.
