Documents Required 

Note: Different types of Business Investment Visas in Kenya have specific requirements. The documentation needed for each visa is outlined below:

Class A Investment Permit: Prospecting and Mining

  • Proof of a valid prospecting license for minerals.
  • Evidence of investment funds amounting to at least US$100,000.

Class B Investment Permit: Agriculture and Animal Husbandry

  • Verification of available capital for investment in the industry (no minimum amount specified).
  • Proof of land ownership or leasehold and relevant clearances or licenses from Kenyan authorities.
  • Personal Identification Number (PIN) certificate for transactions with the Revenue Authority in Kenya.

Class F Investment Permit: Manufacturing

  • Copy of the current manufacturing license.
  • Registration details for the company operating in Kenya.
  • Memorandum of Understanding.
  • Articles of Association.
  • Shareholder certificate (if applicable).
  • Copy of the PIN certificate.
  • Company’s certificate of incorporation.
  • Confirmation of investment funds totaling at least US$100,000, specifically for manufacturing purposes.

Class G Investment Permit: Specific trade, business, consultancy, and/or profession

  • Proof of the company’s certificate of incorporation in Kenya.
  • Memorandum of Understanding.
  • Articles of Association.
  • Shareholder certificate.
  • Clearance letters from relevant institutions.
  • Copy of the PIN certificate.
  • Evidence of investment funds amounting to at least US$100,000.
