Watch this video from our CEO Andreas Krensel discussing the Zimbabwean Exemption Permit (ZEP).

On Wednesday the 24th of November, the Cabinet of South Africa announced that extensions to the Zimbabwean Exemption Permit (ZEP), set to expire on the 31st of December, will no longer be allowed.

Cabinet has decided on a 12-month grace period (not an extension) in which Zimbabwean ex-pats “should apply for other permits appropriate to their particular status or situation”.

While this news may come as a shock to around 450 000 Zimbabweans currently living in South Africa, IBN Immigration is here to support our clients.

If you are unsure about your current immigration status, please contact one of our friendly consultants to help you determine which visa will be best for you going forward.
