Kenya is making strides in modernising its immigration system. The transition from a traditional visa system to an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) promises a more streamlined and efficient process for visitors.

Côte d’Ivoire
Visa Now Required for Travel between Côte d’Ivoire and Tunisia
The Ivorian government have reintroduced visa requirements for travel between Côte d’Ivoire and Tunisia. This decision follows observations that Tunisia is a common transit point for many sub-Saharan migrants, including Ivorians, attempting to reach Europe.
Mozambique
TotalEnergies Poised for Mozambique Gas Project Restart
TotalEnergies is on the verge of resuming its natural gas exploration project in northern Mozambique. This announcement came during the company’s presentation of its 2023 results and 2024 goals in London.
COE Patrick Pouyanné mentioned that contractor mobilisation is in progress, and the company is close to having all preparations in place for the project’s restart. TotalEnergies aims to re-engage global financial institutions to support the project. While no specific dates were provided, the resumption of work is anticipated soon.
Mozambique, home to the Rovuma basin, holds one of the world’s largest natural gas reserves, with three approved development projects in the region.
